AWS Technology Specialist
Location: Anywhere in United States, remote
We are looking for AWS Technology Specialist for an immediate need. This is a client-facing role & the candidate will have regular interactions with various client managers.
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Release planning, Release coordination and deployment of releases with close co-ordination with different teams across the globe following Agile methodology.
· Deploying components in lower and production environments following customer approved SDLC processes
· Assist Dev teams in setting environments in cloud platform.
· Technical analysis and fixing any cloud infrastructure issues.
· Assist in implementing Jenkins/Cloud Bees CI/CD solution.
· Assess automation opportunities and work with different teams to implement automation solution using best in class technology.
· Configuration management and engineering for small to medium scale projects/programs
· Managing the code in version control systems including branching and merging strategies
· Manage assigned user stories and attend daily scrum meetings to report progress on assigned tasks.
Expectations and Qualifications:
· Should be conversant with Cloud, DevOps, Unix, Database
· 2+ years of experience in managing public cloud-based infrastructure.
· Hands-on experience in using EC2, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch, SNS, VPC, RDS, Redshift, Backup, AWS Lambda, Jenkins/ Cloud Bees
· Strong understanding of security best practices (e.g. using IAM Roles, KMS, etc.)
· A solid understanding of the Linux operating system.
· Should have excellent reporting skills to Middle/Senior Management
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $[90,000 – 114,000] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
