Job Title: Azure Data Engineer

Technical Skills: Pyspark and Databricks.
Technical Skills: Python and Google Data Studio.
Roles/Responsibilities
- Good in Databricks, Pyspark, Hive, MapReduce, and GCP with dev and support knowledge.
- Design Data Engineering capabilities that cater to the enterprise and span multiple functions such as data ingestion, data transformation, and define data pipeline standards, and documentation.
- Design Development and Testing of Data pipeline projects ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
- Design technical solutions for data pipelines, leveraging technologies like Databricks and Snowflake to achieve optimal performance.
- Work closely with stakeholders to identify Data Engineering needs for new projects and contribute to the development of a comprehensive data strategy.
- Stay up to date with emerging Data Engineering technologies and best practices and identify opportunities for their integration into our systems.
- Utilize cutting-edge big data technologies and tools such as Spark, Hive, Python, Databricks, Snowflake, and other related frameworks to handle, process, and store large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
- Identify and implement performance optimization strategies to enhance the efficiency and scalability of data processing and analysis tasks.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience working as a Data Engineer on large-scale big data platforms.
- 1 year or Data Architecture experience you will be asked to provide an example of how you designed and implemented these architectures in previous roles.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science information systems or a related field advanced degree preferred. - Relevant certifications in big data technologies are a plus.
- Strong understanding of data architecture data management and data governance principles.
- Expert knowledge of the following ability to demonstrate these skills live during the interview, Spark, Python, Scala, Hive, Pig and MapReduce, Databricks, and Snowflake.
- Proven experience designing building and operating enterprise-grade data streaming.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position depends on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
