Job Role: Data Engineer

 

Job Description:

·         Proficient and having relevant project experience in using the following to create data processing solutions:

o   Primary Skillset (must have):

§  Scala

§  Spark

o   Secondary Skillset (added ):

§  Azure Data Factory

§  Databricks

§  Parquet

·         Possess practiced abilities to

o   Design and implement data storage

o   Develop data processing solution

o   Secure, monitor, and optimize data storage and data processing

·         Given a set of business requirements and constraints, understand to derive the technical/design implications to data pipelines & data stores

·         Design, implement, monitor, and optimize data platforms & data pipelines

·         Firm understanding of parallel processing and data architecture patterns

·         Ensure the operationalization of data pipelines and data stores are high-performing, efficient, organized, and reliable

·         Identify and troubleshoot operational and data quality issues

·         Have subject matter expertise in integrating, transforming, and consolidating data from various structured, unstructured, and streaming data systems into a suitable schema for building analytics solutions.

·         Help stakeholders understand the data through exploration, and build, maintain secure and compliant data processing pipelines by using different tools and techniques

·         Practical knowledge of various data services and frameworks to store and produce cleansed and enhanced datasets for analysis

·         Data store design experience with different architecture patterns based on business requirements, including the below is a plus

o   Modern data warehouse (MDW)

o   Big data and

Lakehouse architecture
