About the role:
We are looking for talented, curious, and energetic Big Data Site Reliability Engineers who embrace solving complex challenges on a global scale. As a Big Data Site Reliability Engineer, you will be an integral part of a cross-functional team inventing, designing, building, and testing software products that reach a truly global customer base. While supporting components of cutting-edge payment technology, you will get to see your efforts shaping the digital future of monetary transactions.
Main responsibilities:
Carry out SRE duties for Big Data on various open-source platforms such as Hadoop, Kafka, Spark, and HBASE.
Develop software systems and automated solutions for operational aspects in an organization.
Code efficiently based on the requirements and verify, deploy software programs.
Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade/tune existing programs for increasing performance and efficiency.
Create reports and generate trending analysis for analyzing the capacity metrics and usage patterns.
Enabling automations in the front-end UI and able to execute them seamlessly.
Key requirements:
High level knowledge on Hadoop/Kafka platforms and core Hadoop/Kafka components
Should be familiar with Unix/Linux system internals, networking, and distributed systems.
Providing customer support on merchant escalated issues specific to applications (e.g. increased latency, transactional issues, features not working as encouraged, etc.).
Advancement in one or more general programming languages (e.g., Java, Python).
Willingness to learn new technologies: Dev-ops platforms, Kubernetes, Docker, etc.
Professional experience of collaboration with Product, Test, Dev-ops, and Agile/Scrum teams.
Bachelor's degree in Math, Science, Engineering, or Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
Excellent command of English.
