Summary

Corelight is seeking a Chief Architect to lead our product and services evolution. As a Chief Architect you will be responsible for designing and driving the implementation of the overall architecture framework, ensuring alignment with business goals, technology underpinnings, and forward strategy.

Your role will involve collaborating with stakeholders, overseeing architectural initiatives, and providing technical leadership to drive innovation and enable scalable, reliable, and future-proof solutions.

While the primary focus is on products, you will be asked to work on process quality, and tooling to improve the overall R&D organization.

The position reports to the Chief Development Officer.

Specific Responsibilities :

• Create and maintain an architecture roadmap, prioritizing initiatives and investments to achieve business objectives and strategic goals.
• Identify opportunities for innovation, product improvement, and the adoption of new technologies. Drive the development of new ideas through prototypes, technology evaluations, and articulation of value propositions.
• Define and maintain architectural standards, best practices, and patterns, ensuring consistency, reusability, and scalability across projects and initiatives.
• Establish and champion internal / external best practices, tools, and ideas to improve applications and related platforms and services.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, product owners, and technology teams to understand and translate new ideas and business needs into architectural solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural principles and promoting the use of emerging technologies and industry best practices.
• Manage a team of 2-3, mentor and coach architects and other technical staff, fostering a culture of growth and technical excellence.
• Communicate operational status to and leadership and across team leads.

Requirements :

• Several years experience as a Chief Architect or Chief Technology Officer at a leading product company.
• Consistent career growth, preferably starting as a development engineer
• Record of delivery of successful products and involvement in internal and external activities.
• Technical depth in networking, cybersecurity, cloud technologies, Kubernetes and data analytics.
• Demonstration of oral and written communication skills both as a technical leader and an organizational leader.

Bottom line :

Balance of technical, communication, and leadership skills. All three are required.
