The American Red Cross is currently seeking a Full Time Contract Administrator to support the Shared Services Team. This position can be located anywhere within the United States.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW :

A Contract Administrator is responsible for overseeing the complex activities pertaining to contract development, the selection and award process, along with contract administration.

An administrator will work with both internal and external customers to ensure proper contract acquisition and fulfillment is within accordance of the American Red Cross’s policies, legal requirements, and client specifications.

Incumbents are responsible for managing relationships with third party suppliers, vendors, consultants, and contractors.

Provide support, development and / or leadership guidance to all volunteers.

WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE GOOD :

1. Analyze complex proposals and work with staff and vendors regarding contract specifications.

2. Manage the development and solicitation of proposals, participate in negotiations, and administers contracts for goods and services.

3. Monitor and maintain contract data.

4. Develop contract status reports for management review.

5. Ensure contracting activities comply with organization policies and procedures.

6. Provide technical guidance to staff on contracting procedures.

7. May act as project leader for projects.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED :

Education : Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Experience : Minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.

Management Experience : N / A

Skills & Abilities : Great verbal and written communication skills. Fully proficient in personal computer use and Microsoft Office Suite.

Review possible solutions using standard procedures. Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills. Ability to work on a team.

Experience with the Coupa System is a plus.

Travel : May travel and participate in meetings and conferences throughout Red Cross locations.

Driver’s License : Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is required.

Combination of candidate’s education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to the description’s minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted).

Physical Requirements

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel; and talk or hear.

The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

The work environment will consist of moderate noise ( business office with computers, phones and printers, light traffic).

The employee must have the ability to work in a small cubicle and have the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.

WHAT WILL GIVE YOU THE COMPETITIVE EDGE :

Strong technical skills with experience using the Coupa System a plus!

COMPENSATION INFORMATION :

The salary range for this position is $75,000 -$80,000.

Note that American Red Cross salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed.

Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
