Job Purpose and Impact

The Controls Advisor will conduct highly complex activities globally and across enterprises regarding development, implementation, and improvement of internal control enabling and monitoring processes.

In this role, you will provide advanced knowledge and thought leadership to develop, implement, and monitor internal control strategy for the controllership organization across financial reporting and safeguarding of the organization's assets.

You will contribute to developing the strategy, plans and processes to consistently deliver operational excellence on key accounting processes. #LI-TH1 #LI-Remote

Key Accountabilities

  • Prepare, collect, and interpret business process, control, and financial information.
  • Using deep knowledge of US GAAP and local GAAP (Brazil or Argentina), COSO and ICOFR you will help develop internal control processes and guidance.
  • Independently perform testing over process and management level controls.
  • Provide risk assessments guidance and support to controllership organization.
  • Provide trainings and guidance to business group and segment controllers regarding internal control processes and strategy.
  • Provide guidance and support over complex internal control issues.
  • You will serve as an expert in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues / problems.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Strong related work experience
  • Fluency in speaking, reading, and writing in English.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • CPA; CIA certification
  • Previous experience in public accounting or internal control management programs
