DirecciónEcolab is seeking a Credit Analyst for the Credit Risk Management function supporting Finance, Sales and Divisional leadership in assessing, monitoring & analyzing the financial health of Ecolab’s largest and/or highest risk customers. This requires good written and verbal communication skills and applicable accounting, reconciliation, and analytical skills necessary to achieve the company and department objectives.
What You Will Do:
· Develop relationships with divisional & corporate contacts on a periodic basis to provide communication around Ecolab high risk customers.
· Guide and support Credit Services collection team associates regarding high-risk customer situations
· Monitor request for pre-petition invoices to be written off, and submit Proof of Claim if applicable.
· Collect monthly A/R data for the Global Risk Program
· Perform continuous information monitoring related to our largest global customers.
· Collaborate and negotiate with customers to identify and mitigate high risk situations (parent guaranty, security interest, reduced terms)
· Work with external counsel and placement agents regarding bankrupt and high risk or delinquent account procedures
· Oversee and assess customer credit worthiness using various methods such as financial statement analysis, D&B, and Credit Risk Monitor to assign credit limits and risk rating
· Monitor and modify risk mitigation efforts in tandem with customer and industry risk volatility
· Evaluate bankrupt customers and coordinate with Legal regarding claims
· Ability to persuade, negotiate, and communicate at all levels of the organization and also with customers
· Review reasons behind blocked orders and follow corporate guidelines to hold or release them,
· Assist on special projects as needed
Minimum Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree or a degree-seeking candidate in Finance, Accounting, Economics or a related field
· Three years previous experience in credit & collections.
· English skills (intermediate/advanced)
Preferred Qualifications:
· Experience in Microsoft Office Suite software (Excel, Word, Outlook)
· Previous analytical experience with aptitude for research, analysis, and problem-solving skills
· Previous experience in GBS/SSC
· SAP experience
· Excellent organizational and time management skills, with ability to manage multiple priorities
· Strong attention to detail
