The Role: Data Analyst
The Team: The Primary Research team is at the center in the data operations group which caters to the data needs of different teams within Market Intelligence. The team possessed expertise in making an outreach to the professionals of the covered companies to get the most unique data or insights which are not publicly available in the market. The team is an expert in conversing with diverse group and building relationship with the industry professional. The team also possesses deep industry expertise specially in the Private Equity domain and covers global markets.


The Impact: Data Analyst will be responsible for relevant and market specific research and data collection on the private equity industry and activities in the covered region through key processes established. This is reflected directly on the product that our clients use. Additionally, the Data Analyst will also maintain the most up-to-date market knowledge document through collaboration with relevant stakeholders and participate in data clean-up projects to ensure the data integrity.


What’s in it for you:
This role will equip you with comprehensive understanding of the Private Equity industry, as it will continuously challenge you to ensure data integrity through various research methods, which also includes building relationships with private equity professionals in your covered market. The team offers various channels to interact with global teams spread across various locations at different time zones and cultures. This will provide a great venue for the candidate to develop skills that are essential in the business, including communications, time management, and critical thinking.
Responsibilities:

  • Your main responsibility will be to collect relevant private equity data through secondary research (website validation, alerts tracking, news) and primary research (survey and queries)
  • For Secondary Research: Maintenance and development of relevant sources through regular monitoring of their relevancy
  • For Primary Research (Survey): Establish and maintain positive professional relationships with private equity professionals in the covered market to maintain and enhance our unique data
  • Manage and drive effective email and call campaigns with the goal of gathering and verifying private market data
  • For Queries: Ensure that queries from both internal and external clients are addressed accurately, comprehensively, and timely
  • Leverage our database, business intelligence reports and other technology-based tools to evolve the process and bring insights for business decision making
  • Conduct thorough market research for the vendors and sources with regards to the current data gaps in the product.
  • Provide domain expertise and advisory support for data collection, automation, extraction and validation
  • Participate in developing and executing projects to ensure data integrity and workflow enhancement
  • Participate in LEAN Initiatives & SAFe Agile framework including working with scrum teams and designing projects


What We’re Looking For:

Basic Qualifications

  • (Required) Business-level fluency in German and English, both verbal and written; comfortable to engage a diverse group of audiences
  • (Optional) Business-level fluency in Dutch and/or French, both verbal and written
  • Enjoy relationship building and conversing with new people every day; comfortable to engage with global industry professionals
  • Analytical and process-oriented mindset for continuous improvement
  • Intermediate Knowledge of MS Office Suite and Internet tools
  • Experience of executing Lean principles & driving automation project
  • Knowledge in SQL, Excel macro, Python will be preferred
