VSO is the world’s leading international non-governmental organisation that works through volunteers to create a fair world for everyone. In 2022/23, over 7,700 dedicated individuals from across the globe volunteered with VSO, bringing their abilities to support almost 11 million people in 35 countries.

Our work centres on those who are left out by society – those living in extreme poverty or with disability and illness. Those who face discrimination and violence because of their gender, sexuality, or social status. Those who are at risk from disaster, disease, and conflict.

Role Overview Summary

The role holder will be responsible for ensuring VSO is able to generate increased income from public fundraising by ensuring we have the capability to generate actionable insights from supporter communication.

Ideal Applicant Summary

We are looking for a Data Analyst to develop analysis and reporting to improve our understanding of our supporter base, the propensity of supporters to respond to our varied communications and to identify different supporter segments within our existing and potential target audiences. You should have experience of developing PowerBI reports from scratch and substantial knowledge of database/ CRM / CDB systems (such as Raiser's Edge, Apteco Marketing Suite or Salesforce). The ideal candidate should have experience of using Python or SQL for data manipulation, reporting and analysis and of using data to influence senior fundraising colleague. In addition, you should have excellent written and spoken communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex analysis to non-technical colleagues.
