Data Architect

PayRetailers is a payment gateway designed to handle mass online payments to the Latin American market.

The company combines local markets expertise with payment technology enabling global merchants to successfully expand their business into high growth, emerging markets while eliminating the many operational complexities of managing cross-border payments.

The position is a hands-on Data Architect role, with a primary focus on designing and managing the Data Architecture framework covering the entire lifecycle on PayRetailers data assets.

Job duties and Responsibilities :

• Enhance the implemented Data Architecture to detect improvements and new needs, designing the best data integrations between applications.
• Participate in the corporate data management framework, involving data planning, specification, enablement, creation, acquisition, maintenance, usage, archiving, retrieval, control and purging of data assets.
• Work closely with data engineers to build and test sustainable Data Architectures, evaluate data modeling as well as prototype new approaches and design solutions at scale.
• Develop PoCs or MVPs to validate cutting and bleeding-edge technologies.
• Stay up to date with latest data trends by attending events and taking relevant training.

Experience and Qualifications :

• 6 years of professional experience in cloud data solutions and systems / Data Architecture.
• Extensive experience in design data solutions, with focus on data modeling, data integration, data security and database performance
• Degree in Computer Engineering or similar.
• Deep knowledge of Azure data tools and services
• Experience on CI / CD through Azure DevOps / GitHub.
• Experience on working with highly available, distributed systems of data extraction, ingestion, and processing of large data sets.
• Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively both verbally and in writing in English and Spanish.
• Ability to work collaboratively and effectively with people at all levels in an organization.
• Excellent communication, organization, time management, and leadership skills.
• Extensive experience in having worked with a variety of technologies and their practical applications to meet the requirements of business areas.

Will be appreciated :

• Experience in the online payment sector and payment gateways.
• Experience in Azure cloud services (Azure Certification is a plus)
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
• Experience with Data Lake Infrastructure / Data Warehousing
