Mission and objectives
The United Nations Volunteers (UNV) programme is the UN organization that supports human development globally by promoting volunteerism and by mobilizing volunteers. It is administered by UNDP and operates amidst growing recognition that volunteerism makes important contributions, economically and socially, to more cohesive societies by building trust and reciprocity among citizens.UNV Regional Office for the Arab States (ROAS) provides oversight and strategic guidance to the UNV Field Units in their respective geographical assignments and is mainly accountable for the placement of UN Volunteers mobilized for UN Agencies, Funds, and Programmes focused on peace, development and humanitarian needs. Furthermore, ROAS represents and strategically positions UNV in the region, bringing UNV’s services and solutions closer to its partners from governments, UN entities, civil society, and the private sector. The Regional Office also leads to scoping and delivering UNV’s advisory service offer on volunteer infrastructure.
Context
UNV partners with UN entities to provide concrete support in mobilizing and managing UN Volunteers.With this online volunteer assignment, we are seeking for online volunteers to support us in crafting a 2-page document highlighting the UNV program's added value to the World Bank's mandate.
Task description
We are looking for two Online Volunteers who under the guidance of Regional Programme specialist to support us creating a 2-page document on the UNV program to emphasize its added value to the World Bank's mandate.The volunteers will do the following tasks:1- Collect slides demonstrating UNV's added value to the World Bank's mandate.2- Convert the slide into a visually appealing 2-page document.The design/layout should follow our corporate design guidelines which will be shared with the Online Volunteers in advance.
