Position Purpose
Under the overall guidance of the Operations Manager and direct supervision of the Common Service Associate, the Driver to the Resident Representative provides reliable and safe driving services ensuring high accuracy of work. The Driver to the Resident Representative demonstrates a client-oriented approach, a high sense of responsibility, courtesy, tact, and the ability to work with people of different national and cultural backgrounds and keeping a high standard of behavior and confidentiality.
The Driver to the Resident Representative provides driving services to staff in the CO, Consultants and Experts and UN staff on mission and attend support services in support of operations as required by the unit management.
1.Ensures provision of reliable and secure driving services by:
- Driving office vehicles for the transport of authorized personnel and delivery and collection of mail, documents, and other items;
- Meeting official personnel and visitors at the airport, supporting visa and customs formalities arrangements when required and
- Understanding of route planning and security measures
2. Ensures proper use of vehicle by:
- Cost-savings through proper use of vehicle through accurate maintenance of daily vehicle logs
- Provision of inputs to preparation of the vehicle maintenance plans and reports
3. Ensures proper day-to-day maintenance of the assigned vehicle through:
- Timely minor repairs, arrangements for major repairs, timely changes of oil, check of tires, brakes, car washing, etc.
- Conduct periodic check up of vehicles, emergency engine troubleshooting and tune up when needed.
4. Ensures availability of all required documents/supplies including such as:
- Vehicle insurance, vehicle logs, office directory, map of the city/country, first-aid kit and necessary spare parts
5. Ensures immediate action in response to accidents by:
- Following rules and regulations in case of involvement in accidents.

Minimum of 3 years work experience as driver is required.
Familiarity with Metro Manila area and other major cities is an advantage.
Experience as driver with UN or international organization is an asset.
Experience in driving various types of vehicles is advantage.
Mechanical skills and minor vehicle repair and troubleshooting are an advantage.
Demonstrated good knowledge of driving rules and regulations.
Completion of secondary education is required.
Holder of valid driver’s license is required.
Language: Fluency in English and Pilipino is required.
