Job Purpose and Impact
The Global Sourcing & Contract Specialist IT Software will be part of Cargill’s Procurement and Transportation Function’s Global IT Sourcing category team.
Specific responsibilities include ongoing contract management and commercial governance with key Cargill Digital Technology & Data (DT&D) Function strategic information technology software / cloud suppliers.
To accomplish this, the role will partner with Cargill DT&D Function leaders and Cargill Law. Additionally, responsibilities encompass cross regional sourcing activities including leading of RFPs as well as contract negotiations with existing and new IT software / cloud suppliers.
In this role, you will strategically-manage regional and global stakeholders and key supplier relationships in alignment with the category strategy.
Key Accountabilities
- Understand business requirements for the most complex categories, sub categories aligned with local sourcing requirements.
- Support the routine, complex activities within local sourcing.
- Negotiate and interpret complex software and cloud agreements, including related services agreements. For assigned strategic relationships : Support contracts end-to-end, track key obligations / dependencies across contract documents, and track commercial pipeline activity with supplier to help inform broader sourcing strategy.
- Participate in local or global supplier selection and negotiations, may lead more complex selection and negotiation.
- Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Solid related work experience
- Excellent verbal and written English language skills
- Direct experience negotiating US-based IT Software and / or Cloud contracts, including demonstrated understanding of contract language and its interpretation as well as contract negotiation process.
- Contract Management experience.
