GENERAL DESCRIPTION : Responsible for all HUMAN RESOURCES strategic management, including recruitment, selection, compensation, benefits, labor relations, career development, among others.

Provide advice on employee evaluation, retention and development. Establish and implement policies and best practices that ensure compliance with state and federal laws.

TASKS AND ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES :

1. Establish, implement and evaluate policies and procedures for effective human resource management, ensuring compliance with federal and state laws.

2. Develop a HR team culture focused on quality, productivity, continuous development, teamwork and high performance.

3. Design annual budget tied to the department's strategic plan.

4. Supervise organizational development programs and employee training programs.

5. Provide information to staff about established policies, compensation, benefits, safety, and staff development.

6. Ensure Human Resources processes comply with the Employer with Equal Employment standards and with the Affirmative Action Program.

7. Maintain contact with staff to receive and provide information, discuss relevant issues, and explain guidelines and instructions.

8. In charge of all personnel files, he will ensure that they are kept under strict confidentiality, and ensure that they have all the documents required by law.

9. Ensure a productive work environment that fosters positive and effective working relationships, and it will also keep communication channels open.

10. Offer suggestions and recommendations to improve the resources and strategies for all HUMAN RESOURCES top priorities.

11. Monitor and ensure that equal work opportunities are complied with in all work practices such as : recruitment, promotions, transfers, training, dismissal, compensation, etc.

12. Oversee the management of payroll and benefits of personnel.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority and skill of personnel.

Provide guidance and direction to subordinates, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance.

Encouraging and building mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among team members.

Identify the developmental needs of others, developing formal educational or training initiatives, such as, coaching, mentoring, or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills.

Confer with personnel, to coordinate work activities, resolve employee grievances, or identify and review resources needed.

Inspect and monitor work areas, examine tools and equipment, and provide employee safety training to prevent, detect, and correct unsafe conditions or violations of procedures and safety rules

Recommend or initiate personnel actions, such as hires, promotions, transfers, discharges, or disciplinary measures.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED :

Bachelor’s degree in business administration with concentration in HUMAN RESOURCES, organizational development or related area.

Master’s degree preferably.

At least five (5) years of related experience.
