Role overview

We are seeking a passionate Manager, Cloud Engineeringto join our growing and dynamic team! This role will be for Cognizant's Infrastructure practice.

As a central figure within our team, the Senior Manager for Cloud Engineering shoulders a diverse and critical role at the intersection of cybersecurity and engineering. This position centers on crafting and enhancing resilient strategies to strengthen support across various teams under our Critical Network, Technology and Risk team. Additionally, you work closely with technology leads, suppliers, and diverse partners to reinforce defenses against evolving cyber threats within Loblaw’s Cloud infrastructure. Furthermore, this role encompasses supervising a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).

What you’ll do

• Strengthen and aid teams managing diverse cloud providers under our umbrella by supervising infrastructure and security tools, delivering premier cybersecurity engineering solutions, and integrating the SRE team's expertise.
• Collaborate with technology and infrastructure leaders, suppliers, partners, vendors, and service providers across the Loblaw family of companies to meet diversity targets and swiftly address cyber threats.
• Apply a strong network within security firms, contacts, and expertise to guide and cultivate agile responses to cyber threats.
• Apply extensive knowledge of Cloud security tools, threat tactics, and enterprise Loblaw Technology operations.
• Work closely with technology leaders, security providers, and threat intelligence services to create and maintain incident response playbooks, protocols, and communication templates using automation tools.
• Establish capabilities for automated response, containment, and resolution of security incidents within the Cloud environment, covering secure configuration, compliance monitoring, and advanced cyber analytics platforms.
• Support cyber, forensic, and privacy investigations, CSIRT, and Crisis management with a focus on ad hoc cloud security perimeter needs.
• This role plays a critical part in safeguarding the organization against cybersecurity threats by aligning capabilities with strategic direction in mind.

What you bring to the role

• Profound expertise in security engineering and infrastructure builds with security focus across Cloud providers like Azure, Google Cloud Platform, and Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.
• Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Enterprise, the Microsoft 365 security suite, and Google Security Suite.
• Previous direct experience in devising security solutions and operationalizing them for seamless transition to the Operations team.

Based on this role’s business requirements, this is a hybrid position requiring 4 days per week from Brampton location.
