Your role at Clorox:

As the accountable leader for this role, this manager will be responsible for implementing and driving the procurement strategies at local level, accountable for Cost containment/tracking & Supply Robustness for whole R&P spend (special focused in Argentina on Rigid & Flexible packaging) and provide guidance and support to the local buyers organization. This role will be instrumental in delivering exceptional value for our spend portfolio, which encompasses both raw materials and packaging, spend $80 million. His/Her expertise and dedication will be critical in ensuring the sustained growth and success of procurement organization in the Cluster South region.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead with a comprehensive perspective the Flexible Pack. Category this includes Corrugates, Labels, etc.
  • Develop a robust vendor supplier base / BCP.
  • Accountable for Procurement strategies implementation
  • Identify and develop alignment opportunities with Latam.
  • Provide guidance to the buyers team.
  • Support them on critical negotiations /RFP with him/her Seniority, Skills & Capabilities.
  • Be the intermediate step between the buyers group and the Sr. Manager.
  • Support the Sr. Procurement manager with specific such us budgeting.

What we look for:

Years and Type of Experience:

  • 6+ years of proven experience in a global, matrixed environment sourcing direct materials or supply chain management

Education Level/Degree:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or Master’s degree or MBA or equivalent working experience.

Technical Skills:

  • Experience operating in a manufacturing environment, specifically in sourcing and managing direct materials such as Packaging and Raw Materials
  • Experience with Sourcing/Procurement tools and methodologies, including RFPs, Cost Models/Should Cost/Clean Sheet, Negotiations, commodity hedging and Contracts.
  • Demonstrated experience driving positive results through teams in a challenging and fast-paced environment. Assertive and respectful, self-directed, able to manage up and down the organization effectively, and willing to hold self and others accountable. Ability to drive change and breakthrough performance improvement across a team.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen and exceptional analytical skills, highlighted by a proven ability to deliver significant financial results.
  • Systems – Strong knowledge of MS Office, particularly PowerPoint and Excel, and MRP systems (SAP preferred)

Managerial Skills and Abilities:

  • Shown leadership skills with a track record of driving positive results through teams in challenging and fast-paced environments. The candidate should possess the ability to motivate and encourage team members to achieve their best performance.
  • Strong change management capabilities.
  • Extensive experience and proficiency in utilizing Sourcing / Procurement tools and methodologies, including RFP (Request for Proposal) management, commodity hedging (Resins and/or Oil), Cost Models / Should Cost / Clean Sheet analysis, negotiations, and contract management. The candidate's expertise in these areas will be pivotal in optimizing procurement strategies.
