Job Description : We are seeking an experienced Manager to lead our IT Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity efforts.
In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive Disaster Recovery plan for our IT systems.
You will lead the coordination and execution of all activities related to IT Disaster Recovery, ensuring that our organization can quickly recover and resume operations in the event of a disruption.
Key Responsibilities :
- Develop and maintain a robust IT Disaster Recovery plan, encompassing all critical systems and applications, to minimize the impact of potential disruptions.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify and prioritize critical IT systems, applications, and processes that require recovery strategies.
- Conduct regular assessments to identify vulnerabilities and gaps in existing IT Disaster Recovery plans and recommend appropriate solutions for mitigation.
- Establish clear objectives, roles, and responsibilities for the IT Disaster Recovery team, and ensure that team members are trained and prepared to fulfill their assigned duties in the event of an incident.
- Coordinate and lead regular meetings with cross-functional teams, such as IT infrastructure, IT Security, application development, Business Continuity, and internal risk management to review and update Disaster Recovery plans.
- Define, document, and regularly test recovery procedures to verify their effectiveness and address any identified issues or weaknesses.
- Evaluate the availability and effectiveness of backup and recovery technologies and make recommendations for improvements or upgrades as necessary.
- Develop and implement Business Continuity strategies and plans to ensure seamless operations during and after a disaster or major disruption.
- Establish partnerships and maintain relationships with external vendors, service providers, and partners to ensure their readiness and ability to support the IT Disaster Recovery efforts.
- Stay up to date with industry best practices, trends, and regulatory requirements related to IT Disaster Recovery, and make recommendations for improvements and compliance.
- Prepare and report on IT Disaster Recovery program metrics and performance indicators to senior management and other relevant stakeholders.
Education and Experience :
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
7 years+ proven experience as an IT Disaster Recovery Program Manager or similar role, with a track record of successfully developing and implementing IT Disaster Recovery plans.
Experience working in a global multi-national corporation.
Knowledge and Skills :
- Strong understanding of IT infrastructure and systems, cloud computing, and cybersecurity principles.
- Familiarity with relevant regulatory frameworks and industry standards, such as ISO 27001 and NIST SP 800-34.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, projects, and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Analytical mindset and attention to detail, with the ability to assess risks, identify vulnerabilities, and develop appropriate mitigation measures.
- Professional certifications in Disaster Recovery, Business Continuity, or project management are highly desirable.
