We are searching the best talent for Senior Medical Science Liaison for the therapeutic area of Oncology, supporting mainly in Buenos Aires


PURPOSE
The MSL Mission is to, through customized interactions, discuss our treatments with physicians and other customers to shape behaviors and support informed decision making whilst identifying and bringing medical insights into the organization as inputs to medical strategy.

MSLs are expected to:

• Be TA scientific experts, considered a trusted scientific counterpart and partner by external and internal stakeholders.
• Be focused on Customer Interactions, engaged in high scientific quality peer-to-peer communication on products, treatment trends and studies with defined audience of Leading Specialists (LS) , Physicians, Pharmacists, Hospital Managers, Board Members of Scientific Societies, and other stakeholders.
• Contribute to other activities in line with the local Medical Affairs Plan: insight collection, evidence generation and Medical Education.


RESPONSIBILITIES

TA Knowledge
• Continuously update own and customer’s knowledge of products, patient’s treatment
trends, clinical activities and studies, local healthcare environment
• Identify evolving scientific concepts with future clinical implications
• Through scientific interactions, gain valuable insights into treatment patterns and scientific activities and collaborate effectively with MAF team and CVT to share insights with the MAF team Collaborate with sales force and other field-based roles (respond to queries, share insights and TA knowledge)
• Contribute to medical training and provide scientific support for field-based roles.

Customer Interaction Excellence
• Develop and maintain contact network of Leading Specialists
• Understand individual LS’s needs, key value drivers, journeys, practical treatment
patterns and scientific activities preferably through one-on-one in person or virtual
interactions. Customize those interactions to address identified needs
• Develop and execute Customer and Stakeholder Interaction Plan (in close
collaboration and coordination with other functions, and validated by Medical Manager)
to communicate medical value of company products, contribute to market access
activities and formulary discussions, non-promotional general information, pipeline,
research and development programs and other relevant information.
• Identify, collect and manage strategy influencing insights
• Identify and support collaborative activities including medical education, research,
publishing, KOL/LS engagement and advocacy
• Identify/support/brief speakers for medical education
• Organize and participate in (not chair), Advisory Boards in cooperation with MAF team
• Represent Janssen to TA stakeholders including professional associations and patient
organisations
• Recognize and nurture relationships with rising stars within the scientific community
• Use digital technologies and new media to support proactive and reactive
Communication.

Evidence Generation
• Support evidence generation execution: collaborate with GCO/GCO-MAO to give input to planning e.g by proposing investigators and sites, support site set up, contribute to management and issue resolution.
• Support registries and other non-interventional Medical Affairs studies
• Understand Real World Evidence (RWE) methodologies, identify data needs and opportunities, support protocol development and engage with customers to help design.
RWE projects
• Support investigator proposals for IISs. (Depending on size of OpCo and available resources, MSLs may be involved in monitoring IISs).
• Support post marketing surveillance and expanded access programs.

Qualifications

Education
• Scientific degree: Medical Doctor, Oncology specialist (required).
•No work experience is required, but at least a degree in oncology is required.

Skills and Background
• Deep therapeutic area scientific knowledge and skills to interpret scientific data.
• Work experience, scientific acumen and communication skills to be accepted by Leading Specialists in peer-to-peer relationship. Communication and presentation skills
• Proficient in English. At leas intermeddate level in english
• Business acumen
• Teamwork, leadership and influencing skills – able to work effectively in a matrix
• Awareness of, and adherence to, Johnson & Johnson Credo values
• Available to travel
• Current driver´s licence
• Location: Buenos Aires, Argentina
