The Prime Services Middle Office (MO) Department is responsible for facilitating the clearance and settlement of transactions in the Equity Prime, Fixed Income Prime Brokerage, and the Broker Dealer Services accounts.  The team is expected to work directly with brokers, clients and Core Operations to resolve outstanding settlement issues. Additionally, the team also answers inquiries sent by brokers, clients related to the processing and settlement of their securities transactions.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Analysis and resolution of fails. 
  • Coverage for DTC and Fed Markets across product class Equities & Fixed Income. 
  • Work directly with brokers / clients & custodians globally to resolve issues related to unmatched exceptions and to ensure a timely settlement.
  • Partner with middle office in resolving issues to ensure trades settle on time and thereby enhancing the client experience.
  • Unmatched trades and fails have updated and accurate comments available for auditors, clients, middle office and Account managers. 

Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:                

  • Ensure all queries are dealt within defined SLAs and issues are promptly escalated to the team leader.
  • Focus on client service.
  • Knowledge on Trade lifecycle, settlements, trade types, swift messages is preferred. 
  • Market knowledge of International and DTC markets.
  • Strong time management skills to deal with tough deadlines.
  • Experience on pre-matching, fail management, interaction with settlements teams will be an added advantage.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, both in Spanish and English.
  • Skilled in MS office applications including Outlook, Excel, Word.
