Your Purpose
As a Senior Public Policy Specialist for Brazil, you will be responsible for designing and implementing strategies devised to advance Bitso’s policy objectives through strategic collaboration with governmental agencies and other industry groups.
You will work with policymakers, financial regulators, private sector participants and financial sector associations.

Who You Are
- Passionate about Public Policy and how crypto can change the world
- 3+ years of experience working in the public or private sector with government officials, industry partners, and civil society organizations
- Experience working with the Central Bank, CVM and Congress, or experience with fintech policy preferred.
- Availability to work full time
- Understanding of Brazilian financial laws and regulations
- Understanding of the global financial system
- Ability to work with a team and being able to manage tasks efficiently
- Strong communication skills to effectively synthesize, visualize and communicate your ideas to others in both Portuguese and English
- Outstanding attention to detail
- Ability to handle private, sensitive and confidential information appropriately
- Ability to deal with a fast changing environment
- Be an action oriented person
- Living in Brasilia or surrounding area is preferred
What You Will Do
- Forge relationships with key players in the Brazilian financial industry.
- Educate policy stakeholders about crypto.
- Work and collaborate with Brazilian financial authorities, especially the Central Bank, the CVM and the Congress.
- Monitor and analyze the regulatory landscape in Brazil and its implications for Bitso’s operations.
- Collaborate with other areas in the implementation of Brazilian regulation.
- Work to influence political and social events, as well as raise public awareness on different issues.
- Monitor and analyze policy issues and developments of importance to Bitso.
- Partner with product and business teams to understand and counsel them on the regulation and policy implications of specific regulation.
