DirecciónOur client, a global insurance company with offices in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced attorney
admitted in CA and residing in California with at least two years' legal experience
to represent the company in civil litigation and workers' compensation matters involving claims for personal injury or property damage issues.
Contract is for 60-90 days. Business hours.
Responsibilities :
- Researching applicable laws and findings and developing appropriate legal strategies for all stages of litigation
- Drafting legal documents pleadings and motions
- Developing and issuing clear, unambiguous legal opinions and strategies.
- Establishing and maintaining good relationships with claims representatives and clients.
- Preparing and conduct training sessions for the legal and claims departments and collaborate with colleagues who are remotely located as needed
Requirements :
A JD or LLB degree and member of the California Bar in good standing residing in Los Angeles area
minimum of two years
of successful experience as an attorney
- General knowledge of insurance law and requirements of insured clients and customers
- Appropriate special licenses to practice before state boards or federal courts preferred
- Familiarity with the latest developments in the practice of law, as well as pertinent knowledge in related fields
- Proficiency with technologies that reduce costs and facilitate the practice of law and remote work
Pay $55 / hour; CA overtime rules apply.
