The Platform team is focused on optimizing the velocity of the functional teams, by implementing cross-cutting concerns, shared services, internal tooling and security components.
We are looking for the foundational members of this team that will bring all the pieces together and ensure our engineering verticals run cohesively.
AT SONDER YOU WILL :
Join a team that provides tremendous impact to millions of customers worldwide, vendors, and staff
Develop Java and Golang applications
Work with AWS Infrastructure, Kubernetes, Docker on a daily basis
Work closely with developers to provide feedback and drive operational improvements
within our products and operations infrastructure
Help the dev teams working on our codebases realize zero downtime deployments
Coordinate and participate in on-call rotations
Automate, automate, automate
Improve application performance and scalability through new architectures
WHAT WE LOOK FOR :
Minimum 5 years of experience designing, building, and maintaining software applications.
Exceptional coding abilities and experience with architectural patterns of high-scale applications
Experience on Java, Golang, Scala any low level language
Minimum 2 years experience with Java or Golang
Successful track record of shipping large scale, high quality projects
Excellent team player with strong communication skills
Comfortable collaborating with stakeholders and navigating ambiguity to understand product requirements
Deep experience with Linux, Docker and Kubernetes
Excellent team player with strong communication skills
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and / or equivalent experience
Bonus Points :
Experience building and designing MicroServices Architectures in Java or Golang
Container, Kubernetes, Distributed System
Experience building and designing Kubernetes Operators
Experience building Python, Ruby, Nodejs or Golang frameworks is a plus
Observability and monitoring experience
Experience maintaining or contributing to open source projects
