Shift is on a mission to make car buying and selling fun, fair, and accessible to everyone. We're looking for a Senior Product Designer who will be responsible for the end-to-end design process for our e-commerce Shopping experiences. On any given day, this designer may find themselves partnering with product management and engineering on the development of a new feature for shoppers who land on our vehicle details page, collaborating with our business partners to understand our fulfillment methods so they can design new ways of merchandising for our browse page, or sharing their work with the Design team for feedback. We're looking for a highly collaborative individual with a strong design point of view who is ready to learn and hit the ground running.
What You Will Do:
• Partner with Product Management, Engineering, and Business Partners to identify opportunities that solve for business goals and user's needs.
• Work through all phases of the design process to ship experiences across web and mobile that meet identified requirements.
• Create user flows, wireframes, low and high-fidelity prototypes, etc.
• Plan and conduct user research to identify and validate user problems and test hypotheses. Must be adept at ideating, prototyping and testing new product concepts.
• Contribute to Shift's Design system.
• Share your work regularly with stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure alignment.
• Clearly communicate your design decisions and the thinking behind them to stakeholders.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
What You Will Bring:
• Experience working in B2C, e-commerce designing for web and mobile experiences.
• Strong visual design skills.
• Experience with Figma.
• Experience with user research tools, such as UserZoom, Sprig, or similar.
• Ability to execute and deliver solutions that meet business requirements.
• Has a growth mindset and is willing to learn and be iterative and collaborative in their Design approach.
• Ability to take initiative and be resourceful.
• Someone who has the ability to think critically and creatively about evaluating and solving problems.
• Someone who is excited about being a thought partner to and clarifying product problems with Product Management, Engineering, and our Business Partners.
• A portfolio that tells the story of your work and demonstrates Product Design.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
• Experience optimizing designs through A/B testing.
• Experience working in a fast paced, startup environment.
