IOM India is in search for a qualified, committed, and enthusiastic professional to be a part of an exciting team to work on raising the awareness of staff of a global brand’s suppliers on different risks associated with involuntary labor in recruitment, and build their capacity to implement due diligence on responsible recruitment through the use of the RRDD Toolkit in addition to demonstrated competence in project development.
Under the overall supervision of the Head of Office and direct supervision of the National Officer (IOM India), and technical guidance from the National Private Sector Engagement Officer (IOM Philippines), the incumbent will be responsible for providing technical and administrative support related to the implementation of capacity building activities on ethical recruitment for different supply chain actors in global supply chains. The incumbent will also support in programme development initiatives. You are expected to fulfil the following requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in the field of Social Sciences, Law, Sustainability, or a related field from an accredited academic institution with at least four years of relevant professional experience; or
- Completed High School degree from an accredited academic institution, with six years of relevant professional experience.
Experience In:
- Solid experience in training programme development
- Demonstrated success in supplier capacity building and in facilitating training sessions
- At least four years of experience in assessing companies against international standards on labour and human rights
- Experience in Code of Conduct audits or management system-based audits as a certified and trained auditor is preferred
- Experience in assessing companies located in different countries and in different industries
- Experience in monitoring improvement plan status and progress from labour and human rights assessments
- Experience working with Government counterparts, UN agencies and/or non-governmental organizations is considered an asset
Skills:
- Knowledge of supply chain management
- Knowledge of country and industry risks related to labour and human rights
- Strong quantitative business analysis skills, attention to detail, and high level of accuracy
- Decent knowledge of labor migration and a broad range of migration related subject areas dealt with by the Organization
- Advanced or intermediate excel skills
- Strong communication skills
Desirable:
- Certification in one or more of the following: ISO 9001, SA 8000, IRCA, or proof of successful completion of other social compliance training course
- Expert knowledge of ethical trading practices, management systems on labour rights, and due diligence on responsible business conduct
