We seek a Senior Solutions Architect with a solid English level to join our team. Here are the challenges that our next warrior will face and the requirements we look for: 

Position Title:  Senior Solutions Architect

Location: Remote

What You Will Be Doing:

Communication/Collaboration:

  • Effectively communicate and present technical designs, solutions, and architectures to executives in a concise manner.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with peer-level, executive, and all engineering levels.
  • Be responsive, flexible, creative, open to change, and have a high degree of initiative.
  • Work across the enterprise to understand dependencies with other applications, cross-team solutions, and enterprise best practices and direction.
  • Proactively break down silos to envision and co-create products with cross-team, cross-company communication and collaboration.
  • Ensure an open and collaborative technical environment with other Solution Architects, Enterprise Architects, and Engineers.
  • Work independently and collaboratively with a team(s).
  • Solution Domain:
  • Demonstrate strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
  • Know the details of the entire solution's architecture, topology, and integrations. Understand what tools are used, processes in place, failover strategies, and environment/connectivity patterns.
  • Understand the interdependencies of the team's solutions with other enterprise applications.
  • Document topology/solution architecture for current state, as well as topology/solution for future state.
  • Provide proposed arch designs/patterns/diagrams for new solution integrations.
  • Document decisions/designs via ADRs.
  • Understand the broader ecosystem and how business processes work. Incorporate this knowledge and connect the dots for the engineers.

Technical Domain:

  • Follow roadmap/product roadmap and releases of vendor technology used by their team. Understand when new functionality is becoming available, how it could impact/improve team solutions as well as overall solution architecture. Work with vendors to articulate additional product enhancements needed or desired. Influence product roadmaps.
  • Work with vendors to articulate product issues/challenges, help teams to get to resolution.
  • Have hands-on working knowledge of coding languages that the teams utilize.
  • Have extensive experience and knowledge with technologies and products the teams utilize or will need to utilize. Stay up to date with these technologies through training and research.
  • Investigate new technologies and techniques and research ongoing industry developments through a partnership with the Enterprise Architecture team.
  • Partner with the leadership team in identifying gaps and providing improvement strategies to foster continuous improvement.
  • Ability to dive into the code and propose recommendations to an issue or adjustments as needed.
  • Engage in critical support situations and effectively, efficiently, and quickly drive to successful resolutions.
  • Ensure teams are documenting and following best practices around security, data access, design standards, and coding standards. Propose and guardrails to monitor/enforce adherence.
  • Ensure teams designs and processes are reusable and eliminate redundancy.
  • Planning/Budget:
  • Partner with the manager for financial planning and budgeting for technology investments and software expenses. Provide input and guidance to ensure cost management and spend on technology.
  • Support talent identification, growth plans/opportunities, mentors.
  • Create/maintain technology roadmaps (short and long term) - looking at future tech solutions (or plan b items), technical debt to address, future arch states and improvements to help meet business needs.
  • Ability to turn vague concepts into actionable work groupings that the team can further refine and break down.
  • Evaluate the ROI of systems development and enhancements to the IT Enterprise environment and effectively weigh the financial alternatives involved with various technical solutions and proposals.

Contracts/Proof of Concepts(POC):

  • Can create, lead, and execute POCs as needed. Including identification of POC Success criteria/score carding, and leading vendor assessments and discussions
  • Ability to review technical components of a legal contract and provide insights/recommended change or updates

Requirements & Qualifications:

  • Platform is SnowfLake andAzure Data Factory
  • Can be able to “whiteboard” on solution architecture and roll up sleeves on hands-on engineering
  • Exposure to enterprise architecture and integrations, familiarity with ADRs, and relevant product enhancement knowledge.
  • -Proven experience in solution architecture preferably in SnowfLake andAzure Data Factory platforms.
  • Excellent hands-on technical skills in coding languages.
  • Extensive experience in cloud systems, data architecture, and pipeline design.
  • Strong knowledge of contemporary technology trends through training and research.
  • Proficiency in creating and executing POCs.
  • Certifications in SnowfLake andAzure Data Factory platform would be advantageous.
  • Ability to handle contracts and provide technical insights.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
