Location: Atlantic City, New Jersey (Open to Remote- Hybrid )

Qualification:
- Science / Engineering graduate
- 9+ years of experience as a SQL DBA working in a production environment (application support, development, etc)
- Experience of working within an ITIL framework and/or service-oriented organization
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Documentation skills for processes and procedures
Responsibility:
- Providing level 2 and 3 support for SQL database environment while supporting migration efforts into the cloud.
- Exposure to AlwaysON and PowerShell scripting experience
- Knowledge on Azure Cloud Environment
- experience in installation and patching of SQL Server (2008R22014,2016)
- Experience in troubleshooting and resolving database integrity issues, performance issues, blocking and deadlocking issues, replication issues, log shipping issues, connectivity issues, security issues etc.
- Experience in Performance Tuning, Query Optimization, using Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler and other related monitoring and troubleshooting tools
- Strong Experience in High availability(Replication,Logshipping,alwayson,cluster environment)
- Experience in virtualization environment
- Experience with MS SQL Server 2022, 2019, 2017, 2016, 2014, 2012 Enterprise on Windows/Linux
- Experience with MS SQL Server in a clustered environment is a plus (Always on)
- Knowledge/experience with DR (Disaster Recovery) drill and always on
- Experience on database migrations, up-gradation and patching
- Ability to detect and troubleshoot SQL Server related CPU,memory,I/O, disk space and other resource contention.
- Strong knowledge of backups, restores, recovery models, database shrink operations
- Experience in implementing operational automation.
- Strong knowledge of how indexes, index management, integrity checks, configuration, patching. How statistics work, how indexes are stored, how they can be created and managed effectively.
- SQL Development ability to write and troubleshoot SQL Code and design ( stored procedures, functions, tables, views, triggers, indexes, constraints
- Power shell scripting knowledge
- Good Hands-on knowledge on PostgreSQL or Mongo
- PostgreSQL/MONGO experience (including replication, partitioning, high availability)
- Install POSTGRESSQL/MONGO server software.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $[45,000.00 – 128,000.00] depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
