OST's Headquarters is in Miami, Florida, but our employees work remotely worldwide. Our 3 main locations are Miami, Mexico City, Mexico, and Buenos Aires, Argentina. We are looking for talented software experts to join our team near one of our three locations.
About the Role: You will help track, log, and resolve bugs and exceptions from our systems and platforms to keep our products running correctly, as well as ensure systems security and applications performance by tracking and monitoring them with our stack tools. Onboarding: For the first few months, this candidate will be required to work in the office 2-3 times a week with the CEO and Engineering lead for faster onboarding. After a few months, a more hybrid approach will be accepted.
Responsibilities: Research and identify solutions for issues in our software systems. Communicate well with customers using targeted questions to understand the root of the problem quickly
Track system security issues
Properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams (e.g. software developers)Provide prompt and accurate feedback to customers
Ensure all issues are properly logged and documented
Prioritize and manage several open issues at one time
Document technical knowledge in the form of notes and manuals
Maintain jovial relationships with clients.Collaborate with the project team to understand product changes and requirements to deal with issues/defects promptly
Assist in maintaining organized task management, ensuring all bugs are logged and tracked. Identify, log, and track bugs and other issues
Work closely with the development team to ensure that all aspects of the system are working well after the issue is reported/fixed
Monitor application performance and troubleshoot issues
Maintain quality standards and make sure that all products meet customer expectations
Qualifications: Intermediate English level (important)Programming experience with modern JavaScript frameworks like React, JavaScript, Vue, and Angular.Programming experience with TypeScript, Node.js or Ruby on Rails in the backend.Experience working with monitoring tools like Sentry, New Relic, etc.Experience working as a Technical Support Engineer, Software Engineer, or similar role
Ability to quickly adapt, learn, and solve problems
Team player, willing to jump outside of their role to help the greater team.Ability to research as you work
Ability to be accountable for your own time in a fully remote environment
