About the role

As a CBRE Operations Management Director, you lead the Facilities Management Operations with responsibility for setting strategy, planning, managing, and directing business operations for a high-profile client.

This job is part of the Operations Management job function. This role is for developing and implementing the strategic direction and day-to-day leadership of one or more lines of business and / or clients whose markets encompass a global and / or multi-market area.

What youll do

Provide formal leadership of direct and indirect staff. Build and implement strategic staffing and development plans for functional organization.

Conduct performance evaluations and provide mentoring and coaching as needed. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.

  • Responsible for setting project, department and / or division deadlines and ensuring that all business operations are carried out in line with RISE values
  • Assist with providing efficient and effective strategic operations. This includes revenue growth and profitability, new business development, etc.
  • Conduct departmental financial evaluations, including monthly revenue and expense projections. Evaluates industry and business trends and analyzes financial performance indicators for potential impact on operations and responds with necessary business changes as indicated.
  • Lead and set priorities for resourcing and assess needs. Conduct training needs making sure operational standards are met.

Builds strong business operations and sets specific, measurable, complicated, yet achievable goals and objectives.

  • Drive the strategic Procurement, Finance, HR and other support needs for Facilities Management organizational success.
  • Apply a robust knowledge of multiple teams, the business, and key drivers which impact departmental and multi-functional performance.
  • Identify and solve multi-dimensional, complex, operational, and organizational problems using the appropriate resources within or outside the department.
  • Significantly improves and changes existing methods, processes, and standards within job subject area. Serves as a change agent for business improvements and develops consensus and support for new initiatives and processes.

What youll need

  • Bachelors degree in business or engineering fields, MBA preferred, with 8-12 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience in the areas of staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is preferred.
  • Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and balance problems.
  • Leadership skills to set, manage and achieve targets with a direct impact on multiple departments results within a function.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Expert organizational skills and an advanced inquisitive mentality.
