What is “Insights & Solutions”?

Insights & Solutions was established as a new capability in the Enablement Chapter in GP at the beginning of 2022. Our team is dedicated to co-creating, delivering, implementing, and enhancing solutions to tackle complex business challenges and seize opportunities. Among these opportunities, we actively address the growing demand for innovation in scientific and clinical operations and innovation. Our focus revolves around various areas, including but not limited to: Digitalization for Scientific Operations, AI in drug discovery, decentralized clinical trials, increased patient enrollment and retention, patient journey and inclusiveness as well as data search and accessibility for R&D applications. 

We work by connecting external market capabilities to internal Roche needs, co-creating innovative external market offerings, and providing market insights and intelligence. Here is why we think the Senior Market Solution Manager / Market Solution Manager - Research & Development Solutions (“Solutions Manager”) role is a fantastic job to consider!

We are looking to recruit an outstanding candidate in either Welwyn (UK) or Mississauga (ON, Canada) as Senior Market Solution Manager to join our exciting Global R&D Insights and Solutions Team. Successful candidates are expected to spend the majority of their working time on campus. 

As the Senior Market Solution Manager for R&D Solutions, you'll work in a dynamic global environment, helping the business address complex challenges, seize market opportunities, and implement new solutions in Roche/GNE. You'll collaborate with various teams to understand business challenges, scout, implement, run, and enhance solutions.

The envisioned position will focus on providing support to our scientific and clinical communities, addressing critical aspects and challenges that arise in clinical trials as well as in scientific operations and innovation. However, this focus area may evolve based on future market opportunities and changing customer needs and priorities. 

Your key responsibilities include:

As a Senior Market Solution Manager, you will play a variety of roles according to your experience, knowledge, and general requirements, including but not limited to:

  • Drive Market Solutions: Collaborate with the business and GP teams to drive all stages of R&D solution creation, piloting and development.

  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert: Provide expertise and input in supply analysis, assessing niche requests to identify business trends.

  • Develop Frameworks and Approaches: Identify, refine, and manage frameworks, tools, and approaches to proactively meet business needs.

  • Advocate and Enable: Lead and advise business stakeholders, aligning and co-creating solutions that connect procurement and business questions to market knowledge.

  • Foster Collaborations: Create and nurture GP and Roche-wide collaborations, promoting cross-functional teams and strategic direction. 

Who You Are (Required) 

  • Required Education:
  • A master of Science or Research or Public Health or equivalent.
  • Higher degrees are a plus but not required. 
  • Experience:

  • 5+ years within either R&D operation, procurement to support R&D operation in pharma, consulting, ideally in a matrix organization and/or product development.

  • You also demonstrated success in building and cultivating collaborative and productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Skillset, Mindset, and Behavior 

  • Additional Skills:

    • In-depth experience with either Clinical or Scientific Operations, Data Management, Product Development, Data and Analytics strategies; 

    • Have demonstrated experience delivering strategies, market expertise, and innovation for clinical trials; 

    • Demonstrated success in building credibility and trust and cultivating collaborative and productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders;

    • Exhibits strong interpersonal and communication skills;  

    • Navigated across ambiguous areas in a flexible, matrix, and rapidly changing environment;

    • Business-level fluency in English; any additional language is a plus.
