In the Digital PathologySoftware Engineering team, we build In vitro diagnostics grade Digital Pathology software across a plurality of modalities streamlining the delivery of science and algorithms into high-volume clinical diagnostics. We focus on accelerating Digital Pathology adoption by providing solutions in AWS cloud and on-premise.

Your Opportunity

As Sr Software Engineer you are designing, modifying, developing, writing, and implementing software programming applications.

• Analyzing, designing, and developing requirements of integrated units of software applications in accordance with overall project goals.
• Conducting systems-level analysis of software programs to include requirements, design, testing, modifications, planning, scheduling, cost, and performance and integration needs.
• Providing imaginative, thorough, and practicable solutions to a wide range of technical problems involving the conventional utilization of software systems engineering techniques. Collaborating with project stakeholders to identify product and technical requirements.
• Performing assignments requiring a wide application of advanced computer software systems principles, theories, and concepts, under general supervision
• Acting as an experienced team member, what typically requires full knowledge of two or more of the following: analysis, networks, modeling, simulations, systems management, expert systems, and system tests.

Who you are

• A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering discipline such as Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field.
• You bring 4 years of directly related custom software development experience in Java, Javascript, and C++/Object-oriented programming, required. Using microservice design patterns is highly preferred
• 3+ years of ​Digital Pathology software development experience is highly preferred
• Equivalent work experience: three years of experience for each year of education.

Preferred behaviors, competencies, and qualities of the ideal Sr Software Engineer

• Experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum) and cross-functional teams (Product Owners, Scrum Masters, Developers, Designers, Business Analysts)
• Demonstrated knowledge of Distributed and Scalable systems and 'DevOps' as it pertains to application development
• Provide direct hands-on support in the design, deployment, administration, and monitoring of production systems at scale in a Hybrid Environment with AWS and VM.

Other preferred technical competencies:

• Knowledge about API design standards, microservice design patterns and best practices
• Java Microservices using Spring Boot, Spring Cloud & Hibernate
• Unit testing with JUnit, Easymock, Mockito
• Docker, Kubernetes & AWS
• Understanding of CI/CD tools Jenkins, Code Pipeline, Maven, Git, Jira, Github, Sonar

This is a fully remote position. Relocation benefits are not offered for this position.

 The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of California is 116,500.00 - 216,300.00 USD Annual .  Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.  A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance.  This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
