JOB SUMMARY

Associate Director, Commercial Training and Development serves as the training subject matter expert for the Transplant portfolio.

Associate Director will collaborate with key matrix partners in the development of comprehensive learning solutions fostering a learning environment focusing on adult learning principles and ensuring ongoing development and retention in support of brand objectives and strategies.

The Associate Director may serve as lead in conducting training classes and workshop for Initial Sales Training, sales meetings and ad hoc training needs throughout the year.

They will evaluate, select, and manage vendors and / or projects enhancing disease state and / or product knowledge.

This role is 100% REMOTE

Individual ensures our training program enables our sales force to be their best self in the field.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Strategizes with cross-functional departments (sales, marketing, medical) when onboarding new-hires to effectively facilitate process for new field sales representatives to completing training requirements for certification.

Partners with management to ensure programs / materials are relevant and have business focus.

Partner with internal customers to develop and maintain product & brand related sales training tools, workshops, and classroom presentations to ensure they are current and meet the needs of all stakeholders.

Constantly assess the effectiveness of the training programs and product learning modules.

Proactively upgrades learning material to meet evolving training needs of the sales force.

Develop continuous learning tools, e-learning, Advanced Training and Experiential training as well as assessment programs to support all sales training programs and that are aligned to a brand and business needs.

Ensure training projects and materials are evaluated against and meet good training and adult learning principles and ensure all projects and materials have been through the correct regulatory review process before being delivered to field sales forces.

Support matrix partners by developing training tools, workshops, presentations and brand content for all Brand outreach initiatives and for all Product Launch, Sales, and POA Meetings.

Sets training strategic imperatives for Market Research, Ad Boards, Task Force, Commercial Brand Teams and Marketing Staff meetings to consult on the development of training tools of promoted products.

Integral Gen Meds Business Unit Leadership partner with Operations Excellence team, Incentive Compensation team, Marketing, Field Leadership, Multi-Channel Engagement and Leadership Development teams to design Training and Development plans to achieve USGM goals.

Partner with Marketing and Sales leadership teams to measure and monitor the impact of training on the business and make recommendations for improvement.

Development of Scopes of Work (SOW) for new and existing projects with outside vendors and manage the projects from inception to completion.

Manage the Certified Regional Training Program, as an extension of Sales Training as well as a developmental opportunity for field representatives.

Manage and develop CD&L Interns when available.

Basic Qualifications

Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, preferable in a life science field or adult learning.

Candidate must have the ability to facilitate classes / meetings virtually from home.

Candidate must have a dedicated work area where they can manage virtual classes uninterrupted.

Candidate must have non-interrupted, dedicated, wired, internet access.

Candidate must be willing to travel to a central training location as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

Strong Communication Skills - Requires interaction with vendors and key senior stakeholders at Manager, Sr. Manager, Associate Director and Director level in sales, sales training, and marketing on daily to weekly basis

Minimum of 18-months (company) or 24-months (Industry) training experience

Strong platform skills ability to make large group presentations at regional and national meetings.

Significant experience using virtual conferencing software such as Zoom, Webex, Go to Meetings, etc

Strong project management skills such as scheduling, planning, and prioritizing several diverse activities, initiatives, and projects from different individuals, groups, or departments.

Must have demonstrated the development of new and creative solutions to a variety of challenging problems.

Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint,)Adobe Acrobat, Webex and Adobe Connect.

Possess the skills and ability to assimilate information to create workshop designs.

Proven understanding of selling skills and disease state knowledge

Significant experience working with cross-functional groups made up of two or more of the following : Marketing, Sales, Medical Affairs, Market Research, or Finance

Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills in order to interface effectively with various cross-functional groups.

Excellent quantitative abilities and excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentation) this includes an ability to create and deliver complex presentations in a short amount of time.

Proven track record of strong execution and results

Must be able to act independently and handle multiple priorities and assignments simultaneously.

Demonstrates self-motivation and the ability to independently initiate and deliver on projects Demonstrated ability to inspire teams, foster collaborative environment, negotiate and influence in a matrix environment, exercise tact and diplomacy in stressful situations

Experience of working with field sales forces and managing a budget.

Shows ability to use appropriate interpersonal styles and techniques and is able to modify one’s behavior to gain acceptance of ideas or plans.

Self Development :

Maintains and enhances product and disease state knowledge.

Stay current on national sales trends and innovations to ensure the proper creation of training materials.

Continuously develop and maintain latest knowledge of our selling model and is able demonstrate when needed.

Attends regular industry wide learning classes and teaches back key learnings to CD&L
