Our team and mission

Working across all ESA centres and offices, the Internal Communication and Space Community Engagement Office fosters cohesion among its workforce and provides an internal dimension to ESA’s milestones (launches, anniversaries, celebrations). A closely-knit, geographically dispersed team of Internal Communication and engagement officers work in a multicultural environment, using a range of different communication channels for internal campaigns. Online communications (intranet publications, online events, emails) form a bedrock that is enriched by live in-person events, debates, podcasts, videos, print, screens and merchandising. The workforce’s pride in belonging to ESA is our strongest asset. Our biggest challenge: cutting through the noise of information overload with inspiring and engaging content while using innovative channels.

You will become a member of the ESA workforce and space Community Engagement team which includes Internal Communications within ESA’s communication department. The mission of the office is to engage our space community both internally at ESA as well as externally. We aim to unite all our colleagues from all ESA establishments under the banner of OneESA, creating a sense of belonging to the organisation, its projects and its milestones while maintaining a creative and comprehensible information flow for everyone.

This year 2024 and the year(s) to come will be an exciting time to join our team as we will be progressing to a brand-new state-of-the-art intranet platform with numerous exciting new possibilities, advanced features and modern ways to work.
