Dirección Staff Accountant Position
Job Type: Full-Time independent contractor – 100% Remote position
Our client is looking for a Staff Accountant who thrives in a mission-focused work environment. This position is tasked with performing accounting functions to ensure financial information is processed.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Book Journal entries
· Maintain and reconcile General Ledger including Accounts payable, Accounts receivable, Fixed Assets, and Prepaid Accounts.
· Perform bank reconciliations.
· Create custom reports and prepare financial analysis as required.
· Monitor any variances from the projected budget.
· Develops and implements accounting procedures by analyzing current procedures and recommending changes.
· Answer accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data.
· Assist in preparing the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements: Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss, and Cash Flow.
· Maintain relationships with clients, customers' clients, and Vendor's clients.
· Assist with the supporting schedules for the fiscal year-end audit and tax filings.
· Troubleshoot and solve discrepancies within the reconciliations in a timely manner.
· Collaborate with other departments to resolve issues.
· Assist in resolving incoming emails/requests from clients.
· Execute payments to third parties.
· Manage and maintain systems provided by clients.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor's degree in accounting or student
· 3-4 years of accounting experience
· Bilingual in Spanish and English.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Outlook.
