The Role

Our Manufacturing, Logistics, Energy & Utilities (MLEU) CONSULTING PRACTICE, group is looking for a creative leader to join our journey. We’re looking for someone to interact and guide senior leadership with accounting solutions that will support the organization’s vision. As a member of our team, you will be responsible of designing, and documenting process / functional flows for the Finance & Accounting process, specifically focused on the insurance vertical.

Cognizant’s MLEU Consulting is a team of advisory consultants & product managers working for global Industrial clients to create significant business value. The team leverages their technology savviness, functional expertise to lead and execute digital transformation initiatives.

We’re looking for Consulting Managers who can deliver within Cognizant’s Five Pillars of Consulting Excellence, which are: 1) Project Execution, 2) Expertise, 3) Business Development, 4) Practice Development, & 5) People Development. As a Manager, Consulting (which is a Senior Manager level position) this means leading a team of Consultants through a client-facing engagement, managing escalations, and serving as a the owner of a workstream; maintaining expertise in your domain; meaningfully contributing to the sales process through a mix of RPI development, client presentations, financial modeling, pricing strategy, and flawless delivery; creating service offerings and/or client partner training materials; and contributing to PeopleCare initiatives, recruiting, and mentoring.In addition to enabling consulting excellence through the Five Pillars of Consulting, the specific requirements for this position are below.

Responsibilities

·       Lead detailing of product capabilities and features for a Customer Experience portal

·       Lead discussions with client Directors, conduct workshops

·       Lead a team of Product Owners and own the development of product capabilities

 

Expectations

·       Experience in leading large scale transformation programs

·       Experience in owning and delivering complex product capabilities

·       Experience in leading product teams

  • Consult directly with our clients and provide advisory services designed to help them solve their most complex business and technology challenges.
  • Define product capabilities and features for a Customer Experience portal.
  • Define and own the product roadmap.
  • Lead discussions with client Directors / VPs / CXOs, conduct workshops.
  • Build and manage the product team made up of Product Managers and Product Owners

·       Manage and direct a small-to-medium team of consultants through client engagement, analysis, business case development, and the development of focused and contextual solutions

·       Lead communications with project stakeholders, including status reporting, priority setting, and timely issue resolution.

·       Contribute to the thought leadership of your practice and contribute to one or more practice initiatives or service offerings (e.g., Strategic Consulting Points (SCPs), the building of consulting assets or solutions)

·       Maintain expertise in your industry or capability group: Banking & Financial Services; Communications, Media, & Technology; Healthcare; Life Sciences; Manufacturing, Logistics, Energy, & Utilities; Retail, Consumer Goods, Travel, & Hospitality; and our Capability practices of Enterprise Process [Finance Transformation, Human Capital Management, Supply Chain Transformation, & Customer Engagement]; Technology Modernization [DevOps, Agile, Data, Architecture], and Transformation Management [Organizational Change Management, Program Direction and Enablement, & Mergers & Acquisitions].

·       Encourage and facilitate the business development activities of project teams through activities such as opportunity validation, strategy approval, RFI support, storyline, proposals, & client presentations

·       Engage with client contacts to generate leads and identify new opportunities for consulting services.

·       Recognize, capture, store, and promote the sharing of engagement collateral and IP (e.g., blogs, white papers, case-studies, articles)

·       Supports the implementation of one or more practice initiatives or service offerings (e.g., Strategic Control Points (SCP), consulting assets, solutions)

  • Serve as a people leader within Consulting, supporting professional development of the team.
  • Conduct recruitment activities, support onboarding, contribute or conduct performance reviews, lead career growth discussions with Business Analysts, Consultants, and Senior Consultants.

 

Qualifications

·       Experience in leading large scale transformation programs.

·       Experience in developing product strategy, roadmap and leading the product realization.

·       Experience in leading product team

  • A track record and experience to achieve the above, which includes ideally 10-13+ years of management consulting experience, where at least 2 of those (though ideally 4+) have been Digital technology (business or technical consultative) team lead experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Information Technology, Business, Communications, Finance, Logistics, Marketing, Engineering, or equivalent
  • The ability to set and manage multiple project plans for a single client; a command of project management principles and a track record of applying them to drive transformation successfully.
  • Experience leading technical and non-technical initiatives; previous experience coordinating workstreams in multi-team projects, ideally using an onsite / offshore model.
  • Leadership skills that bring out the best in others; the ability to oversee multiple Consultants and non-consultants who are working toward a common goal – the best possible outcome for a client.
  • A desire to work with enterprise-level clients and the ability to manage through complexity.
  • Relevant domain, industry, or product certifications, depending on your industry/capability majors and minors (BFS, CMT, Healthcare, Life Sciences, Tech Modernization, Enterprise Process, etc.)
  • Experience with program quality frameworks, methods, and tools (e.g., Six Sigma)
  • MBA or PGDM degree Preferred.
