About the role
Your main responsibilities as a Data Engineer will be to:
- Develop and maintain database objects to sucessfully implement an Operational data store in PostgreSQL.
- Infuse business rules and requirements into data processing.
- Colloborate with multiple stake holders to understand the data demands and cater the same to vaious data consumers.
- Define and maintain data structures for schema validaitons during data integration.
- End-to-end implementation of an Operational Data Store in PostgreSQL.
- Document and deploy changes in database.
Our ideal candidate
- Deep understanding in ODS and transactional data processing.
- Expert in RDBMS concepts.
- Expert level skills in writing complex SQLs and performance optimization of database programs.
- Good hands-on experience in PostgreSQL database.
- Must have deep knowledge and expertise in any PostgreSQL programming, preferably PL/pgSQL, PL/Tcl.
- Must have knowledge on materialized views.
- Experience in data integration activities.
- Good in resolving complicated data issues.
- Deep understanding on PostgreSQL table partitions, concurrency control, parallel operations.
- Good understanding on full and incremental load, streaming data loads.
- Experience with Test cases for Unit testing.
- Knowledge on Kafka integration with PostgreSQL, Kafka connectors for PostgreSQL.
- Knowledge on microservices.

The competitive compensation package consists of a base salary starting from 2300 EUR gross/monthly and an annual bonus, and monetary recognition.
