In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be :

  • Responsible for the financial regional budget.
  • In close collaboration with Vice President, the WA finance regional resources and BU leadership in country, outlines and implements yearly budget plans for each regional entity and BU to meet the company business objectives
  • Responsible for the President’s Operating Report (POR) Integrity and Forecasting
  • Works with the regional local entities to timely deliver accurate financial documents monthly.
  • Coordinates and validates the integrity of the P&Ls and key financial documents (by Month, by Quarter, and Full Year)
  • Consolidates the regional financial documents and communicates to the BU headquarters on a quarterly basis during the POR calls.
  • Owns the Product Groups quarterly POR calls.
  • Can supervise and explain business trends and changes in standardized financial bridges including headcount changes and provides and validates KOB performance reports.
  • Analyzes and presents the financial performance of the business, including results by product group, to the President and CFO of the global business unit of Emerson.
  • Responsible for compliance with GAAP, SOX, Emerson’s policies and procedures and statutory and management reporting requirements in country.
  • Review, analyze, and compare monthly and quarterly financial results and Key Performance Indicators against annual plan and monthly forecast, including cash flow and working capital analysis.

In close coordination with the Vice President and the BU Leaders in the region provides an accurate forecast of the financial performance of the consolidated P&L and for each region including the following key information.

  • Projects list with GP (in the funnel)
  • Projects list with GP (in the Backlog)
  • GP by KOB analysis
  • GP by product line.
  • Provides support to the BU Headquarters by completing the financial information required by the different financial and business reviews.

i.e. Presidents' Council Requirements Prepares the WA Exhibits Templates, Validates financials during GPC’s and Board Meetings).

  • In close collaboration with IT supports the ongoing P&L consolidations and leads all aspects of its integrity (Flow, Measurement and Analyze and Measurement Solutions and Services).
  • Co-Responsible for Asset Management Performance
  • In close coordination with the operations, execution and financial regional resources validates and forecast inventory balances and turns and establishes recommendations and processes for its optimization.
  • Works with the regional financial resources and shared services to improve asset metrics as DSO, DPO and NWC
  • Supports Finance Processes and Audits
  • According to the BU and WA DOA processes (Delegation of Authority) and policy, analyzes, approves or escalates accordingly payment terms of OPEX and CAPEX expenditure or material write offs.
  • Audits financials used for BU Bonus payments.
  • Supervises key projects impacting profitability during the execution phase (monthly project reviews)
  • Support the regional VP of Finance driving Emerson-wide financial initiatives and establishing and reinforcing corporate processes.
  • Controls the BU headcount and keeps accurate records of SGA cost and monthly variations.

For This Role, You Will Need :

  • Minimum of bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • Master’s degree and / or CPA preferred
  • 8+ years’ experience in finance including some management experience
  • Knowledgeable in financial forecasting, accounting principles, and financial data analysis
  • Languages : English, Spanish (Portuguese desired but not required ) .
  • Previous experience in the Latin American region will be valued
  • Open to relocating to Costa Rica
