Cognizant is seeking a E-Trading Developer with strong JAVA backgroundwith strong experience to join our team.
Role: E-Trading (Electronic Trading) Developer | strong JAVA background for Fixed Income Assets.
Experience: 10+ years
Location: We are ideally looking for candidates in and around Charlotte NC to work at the Client site in a hybrid model (3 days per week)
Roles & Responsibilities:
Electronic Trading Developer with strong JAVA Background
10+ years of experience
Domain Skills:
· Corporate Bond [HY or IG] Electronic Trading market structure for Electronic Trading
· Deep understanding on Financial calculations for Fixed Instruments (Bonds)
· Deep understanding of BWIC/OWIC negotiating protocol, including nuances with LP/ECN/ATS
Java Skills:
· Deep Java expertise [writing, tuning, configuration driven]
· Deep Experience Low latency, Distributed Memory Fabric programming
· Deep experience with Messaging [JMS or native], Linux Scripting
· Design & development of the firm’s proprietary, high-performance FI E-Trading platform encompassing all fixed-income products.
· Work alongside traders, sales, and quantitative analysts to specify and build out real-time trading applications that electronically execute orders across multiple ECNs.
· Manages functional understanding of requesters process and context.
· Development and testing of eTrading requirements in Java and relevant skillsets
· Ensure deliveries are within the agreed timelines and efforts, updates on status of the work product as per agreed timelines.
· Manages risks & highlights to the stakeholders ahead of time.
· Proposes mitigation plan.
· Leverage on experience in Agile processes and follow associated procedures.
· Contribute to documentation and knowledge tools with rigor and seriousness.

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $ 120,000/year - $140,000/year depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
