The American Red Cross is currently seeking a Program Manager to support our Disaster Fundraising Programs Team. This is a work-from-home position and candidates can reside anywhere in the continental United States.

WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW :

The Fundraising Programs & Segment Strategy unit is the central office through which high-quality, consistent Fundraising Programs and platforms are created that reflect the organization’s fundable strategic opportunities.

It is also the primary office through which all fundraising segment strategies are developed to maximize fundraising locally, regionally, nationally, and globally.

To support fundraising and deliver value to fundraising relationship managers, The Program Manager will support the development and execution of the Disaster Relief program.

The Program Manager will serve as an organizational expert on their assigned program and drive toward the national fundraising target.

Experience in fundraising, program, and data management is necessary. Experience with cross-segment fundraising preferred.

WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE GOOD :

  • Assists with the successful planning, design, execution, monitoring, and evaluation of Fundraising Program(s) in consultation with supervisor to achieve fundraising revenue target(s)
  • Creates, maintains, and evaluates guidance, cultivation, sales, and stewardship materials, tools, and prospect management resources.
  • Responsible for tracking and reporting, data analysis for the assigned program to evaluate trends and opportunities.
  • Serves as an organizational and subject matter expert on assigned Fundraising Program(s).
  • Creates effective internal and external communications plans and delivers in-person and virtual training.
  • Works closely with corporate fundraisers to maximize the fundraising opportunity.
  • Works with donors as needed to facilitate giving and execute benefits to meet fundraising goals.
  • Identifies trends and obstacles to overcome in order to maximize fundraising for the assigned program area.
  • During Major Disasters : Provides surge capacity to the team, which may include supporting another program or Disaster field assignment.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED :

  • Education : Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Experience : Minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
  • Management Experience : N / A
  • Skills & Abilities : Excellent data management skills including working in excel, Power Bi and Salesforce to track fundraising activity for tangible assets.

Demonstrates in-depth knowledge of programs and an ability to provide a high level of customer service managing fundraiser inquiries.

Excellent oral and communication skills, including training and presentations. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Develop project plans, budgets, and strategies to achieve organizational goals. Demonstrated analytical and decision-making skills to develop creative processes for continuous program or service improvements.

Intermediate-level proficiency with MS Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Ability to work on a team.

  • Travel : May be required
  • A valid driver’s license is required
  • Combination of candidate’s education and general experience satisfies requirements so long as the total years equate to description’s minimum education and general experience years combined (Management experience cannot be substituted).

The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand; walk and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

The employee must frequently lift and / or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift and / or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The work environment will consist of moderate noise ( business office with computers, phones, and printers, light traffic).

The employee must have the ability to work in a small cubicle and have the ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION :

The salary range for this position is $72,000 -$85,000.

Note that American Red Cross salaries are aligned to the specific geographic location in which the work is primarily performed.

Other factors that may be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, how many years of experience you have, and comparison to other employees already in this role.
