Job Description :
Reporting to the Director, IT Delivery, Governance and Applications. The Manager , IT Planning & Delivery, is responsible for overseeing the project delivery and tactical planning functions within the IT department .
This role involves managing the project portfolio, ensuring projects align with strategic objectives, and are delivered on time and within budget .
The manager will lead the planning process, resource allocation, and ensure adherence to the project management framework established by the IT Governance office.
The Day to Day :
PlanningPlanningWork closely with the IT leadership team to prepare the 3 years IT roadmap and plan and lead the tactical planning of IT projects, including resource planning, budgeting, and scheduling.Work in collaboration with other IT leaders, procurement, and external parties to obtain ROMs, budgetary estimates, quotes, to support budget / plan figures.Review off- budget cycle project ideas with IT leaders and plan those that will move through the project funnel.Budget ManagementConsolidate local and global IT budget and prepare management reporting.Monitor budget expenditure, forecast. Identify, and address variances in collaboration with IT leaders.Projects DeliveryManage the project delivery process, across Infrastructure, Applications and Cybersecurity, ensuring effective execution and alignment with business goals.Deliver projects following SSR’s project management methodologies, and tools.Manage project portfolio, prioritizing projects based on business needs and capacity.Monitor project progress, addressing any issues and ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.Facilitate regular project review meetings and report on portfolio status to IT Governance and IT leadership.Coordinate with IT and business stakeholders to ensure clear communication and expectations.ProcurementManage purchase requisition and receiving functions within IT and work closely with the sites to ensure local purchases follow the global IT standards.Ensure the IT contract register is up to date, and work with corporate procurement, legal and IT leaders and Governance on contract renewals, RFPs, RFIs, etc. as needed.Is this you?
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
- 10+ years proven experience in IT project & portfolio management and strategic and tactical planning with 5 + years supervisory experience preferred.
- Experience with budgeting and forecasting processes. And familiar with accounting, cost structures and allocation models.
- Strong understanding of IT applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity and service management domains.
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing teams.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, DevOps).
- Good working knowledge of SAP S / 4 cost reporting module.
For applicants residing in CO, the salary range for this role is from $110,000-$140,000
