As a Global Consumer Marketing Director, you'll lead a high impact team tasked with driving brand consideration and preference towards premium consumer audiences, tech enthusiasts and students. You’ll be responsible for ideating and deploying innovative marketing and overseeing the consistency of execution across all consumer categories in Lenovo.
Reporting into the Executive Director of Consumer Marketing of the Intelligent Devices Group, you’ll lead a team that includes product marketing, brand marketing, strategy and go-to-marketing, and Marketing Services. You will be partnering closely with the business group, the International Sales Organisation geographies (Asia Pacific; Europe, Middle East and Africa, North America and Latin America) to ensure your strategy, product and brand stories come to life through the end-to-end consumer journey.
We're looking for an experienced marketer who can tackle ambiguous problems and drive impact. You’ll bring global experience and be able to both build and lead a team of international talent in person and remotely. Opened to external candidates in our China-based Headquarters in Beijing and to internal talents anywhere in the world, the position calls for out-of-the-box thinking and an agile execution mindset.
What you'll be doing
Consumer Marketing, Tablets & Incubation Devices
- Lead a team of seasoned product marketers telling differentiated portfolio stories for products, accessories and services, and bringing them to life through marketing content.
- Create campaigns and programs that aim to lift brand consideration and preference in strategic markets through multi-million dollars activations through brand and integrated marketing communications direct reports.
- Write and tell the story of groundbreaking innovations similar in scope to Lenovo's past consumer innovations like the world's first world-scanning tablet with Google Tango, the ultra-thin all-touch Lenovo Yoga Book, and the pioneering standalone VR headset Lenovo Mirage Solo.
- Develop, sell-in and execute a clear strategy for our consumer marketing ensuring alignment with marketing objectives and broader company mission and vision, leveraging Masterbrand, centers of excellence (COEs) and Marketing Services.
- Utilize data-driven insights to inform decision-making, ensuring that our innovations resonate with and add real value to the consumer experience.
- Own management of the multi-million-dollar consumer tablet marketing budget, working closely with business, finance, and marketing stakeholder to deliver on KPIs.
Consumer Marketing, Marketing services
- Lead an organization coordinating consistent messaging, look-and-feel and adoption over the consumer journey touchpoints including digital marketing, retail, events and lenovo.com.
- Set a vision, design a strategy, and align numerous stakeholders to ensure execution and success.
- Ensure the highest standards of quality in all marketing outputs and product developments, emphasizing impactful and meaningful consumer engagement.
Leadership and management
- Lead and mentor a diverse tam of marketing professionals.
- Ensures the right people are in the right roles, creates growth and development opportunities, and builds highly effective and engaged teams.
- Ability to influencer a multitude of senior stakeholders.
Experience and skills
- You have 10+ years of experience in Marketing, with 5+ years of leading multi-cultural teams.
- You have aligned delivered consumer-facing visual communications.
- You have navigated complex stakeholder environments to drive tangible business outcomes.
- Strong at planning, organizing, prioritizing, and executing simultaneous projects.
