Cognizant’s Digital Engineering practice is seeking a highly qualified Program Manager with experience in Portfolio and Project Management (PPM), developing and building hard-working, scalable, enterprise applications. Responsibilities:
- Accountable for initiative level planning and alignment, data-based forecasting, reporting, and identifying and resolving program level risks, dependencies, impediments, and blockers.
- Responsible for end-to-end delivery quality, managing the flow of work across several delivery squads, the impact of dependencies, and progress towards key deliveries within and across squads.
- Enable continuous improvement and high-quality outcomes through the application of Agile methodologies, as well as analyzing and improving the squads by acting on metrics.
- Support Principal Delivery Leads in the successful project delivery, collaborating with multiple teams.
- Communicate to a wide range of collaborators and client teams, aligning them to the delivery strategy and ensuring shared understanding of reporting and desired outcomes.
- Influence Squads to embrace Lean/Agile practices and improve ways of working with pragmatism.
- Become a trusted advisor the technical and product lead collaborating with them to deliver business and user value.
Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience 8+ years of IT experience
- Delivered a range of digital products to customers using Lean/Agile methodologies, including with Kanban.
- Led and supported multidisciplinary teams that have included designers, testers, developers, and product managers.
- Bring a history of championing Lean/Agile ways of working, adapting to delivery frameworks and recommending improvements without being dogmatic.
- Managed and worked within budgets and time-pressured environments.
- Used delivery data to forecast key deliverables and communicate a project’s status clearly with senior clients and collaborators.
- Proactively spotted risks to delivery and helped teams mitigate them.
- Phenomenal facilitation, diplomacy, and negotiation skills.
- Ideally experience of the Atlassian toolset Jira and Confluence.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $120K – $146K depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
