QA Functional with strong SQL knowledgeand API testing (Remote)
Location: Charlotte, NC
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors in science, engineering or equivalent
- At least 5 or more years of overall quality assurance experience
- Developing test plans, test cases, assessing risk, and filing appropriate defects
- Develop, implement and optimize stored procedures and functions
- Design develop and maintain test automation systems, tools and scripts as well as write and complete
- Evaluate API/web services using Postman or SOAP UI.
Roles/Responsibilities:
Responsible for finding and reporting bugs and glitches.
- Review and analyze system specifications.
- Collaborate with QA Engineers to develop effective strategies and test plans.
- Execute test cases manual or automated and analyze results. Evaluate product code according to specifications.
- Create logs to document testing phases and defects.
- Report bugs and errors to development teams.
- Help troubleshoot issues. Conduct post release post-implementation testing.
- Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Should have Agile and JIRA working experience.
- Evaluate API/web services using Postman or SOAP UI.
Work Authorization:

Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is between $50,800 - $99,960 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
