Law Assistant is a dynamic and forward-thinking law staffing company based in the United States. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Remote Law Assistant to join our team.
Position Overview:
As a Remote Law Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our clients legal firm in various tasks, with a focus on administration and litigation.
The ideal candidate will have prior law experience, including handling discovery requests, drafting pleadings and motions, and preparing notices of appearance.
Proficiency in English, both spoken and written, is essential for effective communication with clients and counterparts.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage client onboarding using Clio software, including organizing documents such as engagement agreements and division of corporations.
Utilize Clio for time tracking, task management, and data entry.
Coordinate and organize hearings, meetings with opposing attorneys, and communications with judges.
Handle phone calls, providing excellent customer service and ensuring effective communication between clients and legal team.
Proficient use of Microsoft Outlook for email communication.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in law or a law practice, with a strong understanding of discovery processes, pleadings, and motions.
Familiarity with Clio software for client management and document organization.
Excellent English communication skills (both verbal and written).
Ability to organize and prioritize tasks efficiently.
Experience with Microsoft Outlook.
