About the role
Teramind, a leader in space of security and user behavior research, is looking for someone to help reshape how insights are delivered and surfaced in our platform. Being at the forefront of Digital Loss Prevent, Insider Threat Detection, and Employee Monitoring, you’ll have access to the richest data in the space, giving you unique challenges and endless opportunities.
Responsibilities
- The Data Engineer will utilize their expertise in data warehousing, data streaming, data pipeline creation/support and analytical reporting skills to gather and analyze data from several internal and external sources as well as design a cloud-focused data platform for analytics and business intelligence and reliably provide data to analysts
- Work with Data Architects to understand current data models, to build pipelines for data ingestion and transformation
- Design, build, and maintain a framework for pipeline observation and monitoring, focusing on reliability and performance of jobs
- Surface data integration errors to the proper teams, ensuring timely processing of new data
- Provide technical consultation for other team members on best practices for automation, monitoring, and deployments
Requirements
- Hands on experience (7 years) in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines with a focus on streaming data processing.
- Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala, with hands-on experience in building distributed systems and streaming applications.
- In-depth knowledge of streaming platforms and technologies such as Apache Kafka, Apache Flink, Apache Spark Streaming, Red Panda, or similar frameworks.
- Experience with change management and reimagining/building a system from scratch.
- Experience with real-time analytics, complex event processing (CEP), and machine learning model inference in streaming data environments.
