The Role
Our Banking and Financial Services (BFS) Consulting practice is looking for Project Managers to join our team while we work on an exciting platform modernization engagement. This role is on-site at a client location.
Do you want to build best-in-class digital products for our most innovative clients? The Digital Commercial Bank team is responsible for defining and executing the digital strategy for the firm’s commercial bank clients. As a Project Manager, you will lead a product from zero to one, contributing to the strategy and driving execution. In this role you will work closely with Engineering, Design, Data, Controls, and many others to deliver value for our rapidly growing business.
We are looking for a Senior Manager who can deliver within Cognizant’s Five Pillars of Consulting:

Responsibilities
· Utilize project management experience to include scrum agile methodologies to lead and coordinate project activities, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to project milestones
· Effectively manage project scope, resources and timelines while maintaining alignment with client expectations and project objectives
· Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to include IT and business stakeholders
· Leverage industry experience and consulting expertise to recommend process improvements, identify risks, and propose solutions to optimize loan origination processes and enhance overall efficiency.
· Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing thought leadership, and proactive guidance on industry trends, regulatory requirement, and emerging technologies impacting business operations
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree from an accredited college or university, or equivalent relevant experience
- 12-16 years of experience years of managing complex projects across multiple business lines/organizations
- Experience in Banking & Financial Services in mandatory
- Have specialized knowledge and experience in loan syndication and/or project finance to guide the configuration and customization of the loan origination system to meet client needs
- PMP Certified
- Experience with IT Projects in the Financial industry as well as managing multiple technologies (SDLC highly preferred) and frameworks in Agile/Hybrid Agile
- Experience with bringing together cross functional teams and leading execution in an agile delivery model
Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- Advanced knowledge and experience in the SDLC methodologies especially Agile and SCRUM
- Advanced knowledge and experience in the development of project resource management
- Advanced knowledge and experience in the project and program management processes with institutional planning, investment, and project performance measurement options
- Ability to quickly decide on alternate solutions to keep the project on time and on budget
- Ability to foresee risks affecting the project and put in place mitigation strategies
