DirecciónCognizant Technology Solutions is seeking a MEDICAL BILLING AND CODING SPECIALIST to work for one or more of the clients remotely.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Review and troubleshoot problematic/denied claims errors- investigate and accurate/rebill claims electronically!
- Research claim/account and medical documentation to resolve claim and billing errors.
- The Oracle OBIEE Developer will be responsible for designing implementing customizing and integrating Oracle OBIEE BI. Be responsible for ensuring Client’s Oracle OBIEE portfolio of applications are designed to meet evolving business requirements and standards for reliability scalability availability and usability. This position will also work with team members as needed to scope design test implement support and enhance Oracle OBIEE solution.
- Extensive knowledge of CPT, HCPCS procedure code and ICD-10 coding methodologies
- Knowledge of hospital billing requirements including UB04, revenue codes, CCI and MUE edits
- Payer reimbursement policies, rules and regulations, medically necessity criteria and applicable industry standards
Requirements and Desired Skills/Qualifications:
- Coding Certification through AHIMA or AAPC (i.e. CCS, RHIT or RHIA (AHIMA) or CPC, COC, CPB (AAPC))
- Minimum of three years' related experience; five or more years preferred.
- Understanding of Magento's code structure and extension architecture; Experience in the migration from Magento 1 to 2; Ability to estimate level of effort and resources required to deliver technical solutions.
- We are looking for consulting authorities with experience Developing SAP solutions to meet business requirements in complex SAP environments, which includes the knowledge and experience in any one of these areas: S/4HANA Finance (FI), or S/4HANA Finance (CO), or S/4HANA MM, or S/4HANA SD, or S/4HANA PP.
- Knowledge of Federal, state and payer regulations
- Ability to review medical records to ensure coded/billed accurately
- Experienced in Facets testing different modules Member Enrollment and Eligibility, Claim Processing, Billing Providers.
- Able to demonstrate effective communication skills (verbal, nonverbal, written)
- Ability to problem-solve and make decisions consistent with interpersonal policies and procedures.
- Able to work independently, demonstrating effective initiative, follow-through, communication skills.
- Basic background with computers in multiple systems at 1 time
- Self-motivated with ability to work autonomously and in a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Interacting with manager/team members on scheduled time off and breaks and new procedures and policies as provided by the client is significant.
- Well-organized and able to handle multipole projects as needed.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Able to be flexible and adaptable to change.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Epic system experience is a plus.
