Job Summary:
Cognizant is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer with at least 8 Years of experience in developing customized product for our clients. Cognizant needs a motivated individual to challenge the status and provide thought leadership/best practices to enhance our current services and technologies. Design, implement and maintain Java-based applications that can be high-volume and low-latency.
An ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a fast paced, collaborative environment. Someone that values the “team” and leverages the opinions and expertise of their teammates to deliver quality.
Location: Atlanta, GA ( Hybrid)

Responsibilities:
1. As an SRE, Enhance the reliability and performance of online eCommerce platforms through proactive monitoring, issue resolution.
2.Establish a standardized process for enabling monitoring and observability across all applications and infrastructure components
3. Extensive knowledge in eCommerce domain
4. Conduct real-time monitoring using tools like Grafana, Splunk,AppDynamaic and Dynatrace to identify and address potential system issues promptly
5. Working knowledge on key SRE concepts such as SLO,SLI,SLA,Error Budgets,MTTD, MTTR & minimize toil through automation
6. Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for critical incidents, implementing preventive measures to minimize downtime
7.Collaborate with cross functional team to optimize eCommerce components for improved platform responsiveness.
8. Reduce incident resolution time with optimal value through proactive monitoring and quick response
9. Knowledge in implement Nagios and Datadog for real-time monitoring
10.Troubleshoot production issues within agreed upon timelines
11. Own communication of Incidents and resolution to Client Manger and Cognizant leadeship
12. Identify opportunities for automation and reduction of manual effrots
13. Identify opportunities for improving application monitoring and alerting.
14. Ensure the documentations like SOPS, Application handbooks etc are kept up to date
15. Create and manage end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for automatic deployment for deployments
16. Experience in Managing the applications on Pivotal Cloud Foundry.
17. Experience in using Venafi for Configuring and managing digital certificates which includes issuance, renewal, revocation, and rotation of certificates
Technical skills:
Tech Stack: Google Cloud Platform ,Java ,Sprint Boot, Node JS, mobile Platforms (iOs, Android), Unix, AI/ML, Cassandra, Redis, akamai
Databases: Cloud Spanner, BigQuery,Cassandra, Oracle, DB2, MySQL, Solar, BigTable
Tools: Splunk, Dynatrace,
Special skills: Adobe Analytics, Tealium, Adobe Test and Target
