About the Project
Our client is setting up a team to work with a financial institution and a bank subsidiary that is a trust company in Canada.
They specialize in such services as mortgage servicing, deposit services (GICs, RRSPs, TFSAs, e-Savings), secured credit cards, prepaid credit cards, and corporate & specialized lending.
The client is looking for a proficient team that will help construct a sophisticated product for CDIC (Canada Deposit Insurance) from scratch.
They'll work on banks' financial data, repurposing it to align with regulatory requirements before seamlessly delivering it to the regulators.
Additional features include the capability to recognize the same client entering through various portals and the innovative process of tokenizing data.
Responsibilities
Leadership and Team Management : Lead and mentor a team of professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
Provide technical guidance and support, ensuring the team's professional growth.
Project Management : Oversee project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring adherence to timelines and quality standards.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define project requirements and objectives.
Technical Expertise : Demonstrate advanced proficiency in Java, Python, AWS, Kubernetes, CI / CD.Provide hands-on technical leadership and contribute to the development and maintenance of critical will be required to code actively, not only lead a team.
Security expertise is valued over banking domain knowledge.
Communication and Collaboration : Foster effective communication within the team and with cross-functional departments.
Collaborate with product managers, developers, and other teams to drive successful project outcomes.
Problem-Solving and Decision-Making : Lead the team in addressing complex technical challenges and making informed decisions.
Conduct root cause analysis and implement solutions to ensure system stability.
Continuous Improvement : Drive continuous improvement initiatives in development processes and abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending their integration when beneficial.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s / Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in a software development or related role.
- Proven experience in a leadership or team lead position.
- Proficiency in Java, Python, AWS, Kubernetes, CI / CD.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and solve complex problems efficiently.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools.
