Support and coordinate the Procurement Plus (P) Travel & Mobility category : Meetings & Events sourcing projects on a global level :
- Support global target setting in alignment with global and market P+ and category objectives
- Support to communicate, execute, and implement global category initiatives
- Support, lead, and oversee local sourcing / procurement activities
- Support regional category strategy definition, project execution, and stakeholder alignment
Key Responsibilities :
Manage the assigned Procurement Plus category on a global level :
- Foster knowledge sharing between global / regional / local P+ and Travel & Mobility category resources
- Work with senior-level stakeholders to lead and execute strategic sourcing projects including strategy development, RFQ RFP execution, supplier negotiation, award recommendations, business case presentations, and supplier contract execution.
- Support the Global Category Leads with the identification of stakeholders and definition of the strategy
- Benchmark category practices with developments to identify initiatives for improvement
- Assess the impact of changing requirements, including legislation and policies
Ensure successful implementation of global strategy / agreements :
- Coordinate resource allocation to support global initiatives on a regional and local level
- Coordinate and support regional and global category strategy development and implementation
- Support regional / local negotiations and sourcing activities in line with global category strategy
- Support business profitability (incl. sales) related to meetings and events across the Accenture organization globally
- Promote the use of contracts and buying channels according to category strategies
Perform category management activities for projects on a regional level :
- Manage the category strategy implementation / execution for regional projects and initiatives
- Drive supplier performance by, for example, discussing lessons learned across different markets
- Perform supplier selection and fact-based negotiations in alignment with Global Category Leads
- Involve the business for actions related to supplier base optimization, KPI implementation
- Drive deep travel and mobility market intelligence into all aspects of the value proposition
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
- 3 - 5 years of Strategic Meetings Management Procurement experience
- 3 - 5 years of experience in procurement sourcing, whereas at least 2 - 4 years in Meetings & Events sourcing
- Understanding of the legislations across all markets globally related to procurement and to the use of subcontractors
- Understanding of supplier sourcing, contract negotiation, and supplier management, with experience in supporting or delivering tender management and negotiating agreements or Service Level Agreements
- Demonstrable experience in leading small teams, if required
- Skills in manipulating data and a quick learner of new systems and tools with the ability to understand and develop pricing models and analyses / interpret commercial proposals
- Strategic sourcing and category management expertise including Contract drafting, and contract law
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills while engaging with senior management within Accenture or Accenture’s suppliers
- Strong stakeholder and supplier relationship management skills
- Strong analytical and reporting skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment, leading where appropriate
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and deliver own work
- High standard of empathy towards the stakeholder, listening ability
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Intermediate / High-level Microsoft Office proficiency including expertise in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Forward, out-of-the-box thinking and an innovative, disruptive, and open mindset
- Action-oriented and solution-minded team player with a high degree of self-management
- Fluent in English, spoken and written
Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications :
- A degree with emphasis on the areas of business, economics, procurement, travel, or comparable professional education
- At least 5 years of working experience in similar or adequate roles in a procurement environment, with international project and people management elements
Minimum 3 years of experience working with senior executives to implement and manage initiatives in a highly complex matrix organization
